A bit about us...

Hello, my name is Amy Rose and I live and work in the lovely West Yorkshire village of Slaithwaite. 'The Yorkshire Makery' is my creative haven where i'll have a go at making anything that takes my fancy and love trying out new craft techniques. I specialise in textile crafts; sewing, felt-making and crochet my favorites. My partner, Dominic, also has his studio next door where he makes furniture out of pretty much anything. We are big on recycling and re-using stuff that other people might throw away, but we know there's no such thing as rubbish and we'll find a use for everything (one day!).

As well as making all sorts, I also sell a variety of bits and bobs for your own creative projects, as well as crafts made by myself and local people. We have yarn for knitting and crochet, wool tops and silk packs for felt-making, fat quarters and threads for sewing, and more. Handmade crafts include clothing, jewellery and bags, as well something lovely for your home like cushions, blankets and rugs, and of course exciting and innovative furniture and products from lighting and clocks to larger tables, shelves and benches.

You can find us in Britannia Mills, on Britannia Road, right in the center of the village.
